Wow, thats a huge start.
Gandhiji, the father of the nation, till now is only known as a freedom fighter and a man who believes in peace, to most of the people. From today on, with Swach Bharat movement in India, people will also appreciate him for having such a much-needed vision for the country - a clean India. Prime minister Modi did launch the event successfully today in New Delhi, started cleaning with a broom at a sanitation cleaners living street and gave a call for 1.2 billion people of India to join the movement. There was an announcement of huge release of funds too for the purpose, but we know how funds transfer take place in India. I guess, even Modi knows that, saying "don't trust my government, but trust Gandhiji's devotion to cleanliness".
But the point here is how long is the movement going to sustain ? Its India folks, things only start but never end. As for my anticipation, even though we clean the whole India today to crystal clear place, what about tomorrow ? Waste always gets created. People will again become negligent in dumping the wastes properly. So, unless or until there is a perfect waste disposal management that would take care of every day waste that is created, no country can be clean. And of course as said, everybody should take the responsibility too.
Keep your surroundings clean. Keep India clean.
All hail Swach Bharat.
